Frequently asked questions
Do participants need an account?
No. They open the link, enter their name and book a free slot. On the same device they can move or cancel it later.
What do appointment slots cost?
Nothing. Polls is free and shows no ads – for you and for everyone taking part.
Can others see who has which slot?
Not by default: others only see “taken”. You can choose to show names to everyone with the link – if so, it says so under the name field before booking.
What happens if two people want the same slot?
Only one person gets the slot. The other sees that it has been taken in the meantime and picks another.
What happens to our data?
Polls only stores what the poll needs: its content, names and answers. IP addresses never end up in the database, there are no trackers from other companies, and everything sits on a server in Germany. When the poll is deleted, all its data goes with it.
What happens if I lose the admin link?
Once your poll is created, Polls shows you your admin link – copy it or sign in by email, no password needed. Then you’ll find your polls on any device under “My polls”. Without signing in, a lost admin link can’t be recovered.
How long do appointment slots stay up?
It expires 30 days after its last slot, at the latest one year after it was created. 30 days after it expires, it is permanently deleted with all bookings. You can also delete it yourself at any time.
