Frequently asked questions
Do participants need an account?
No. They open the link, answer and add their name. On the same device they can change their answers later.
What does a date poll cost?
Nothing. Polls is free and shows no ads – for you and for everyone taking part.
What happens to our data?
Polls only stores what the poll needs: its content, names and answers. IP addresses never end up in the database, there are no trackers from other companies, and everything sits on a server in Germany. When the poll is deleted, all its data goes with it.
What happens if I lose the admin link?
The admin link is shown only once – without it, the poll can no longer be managed. If you sign in by email, with no password at all, you’ll find your polls on any device under “My polls”.
How do time zones and all-day dates work?
Dates are shown in the poll’s time zone. Anyone elsewhere also sees their own local time. All-day dates are plain calendar days and never shift.
How long does the poll stay around?
A date poll expires 30 days after its last date, at the latest one year after it was created. 30 days after it expires, it is permanently deleted with all answers. You can also delete it yourself at any time.
