Frequently asked questions
Do participants need an account?
No. They open the link, add their name and take a place. On the same device they can give it up again later.
What does a volunteer list cost?
Nothing. Polls is free and shows no ads – for you and for everyone taking part.
What happens when a slot is full?
Then it takes no one else. If two people want the last place at the same moment, only one gets it. When someone gives up their place, it’s available again right away.
What happens to our data?
Polls only stores what the poll needs: its content, names and answers. IP addresses never end up in the database, there are no trackers from other companies, and everything sits on a server in Germany. When the poll is deleted, all its data goes with it.
What happens if I lose the admin link?
The admin link is shown only once – without it, the poll can no longer be managed. If you sign in by email, with no password at all, you’ll find your polls on any device under “My polls”.
How long does the list stay around?
A volunteer list expires 90 days after it was created. 30 days after it expires, it is permanently deleted with all entries. You can also delete it yourself at any time.
