For everyone creating a poll
I’ve lost the admin link – what now?
The admin link is shown only once and stored only as a check value, so nobody can restore it. If the poll is linked to your account, you’ll find it under “My polls” and can manage it from there. Without an account, the participation link stays valid, but managing the poll does not.
How do I close a poll – and can I reopen it?
On the manage page with “Close poll”: after that it takes no more answers, and the result stays visible. “Reopen poll” lets it continue; it then runs for at least 90 more days, and a longer remaining run time is kept.
How do I delete a poll?
On the manage page with “Delete poll permanently”. It disappears at once with all answers, entries and comments – it can’t be restored.
How long does a poll stay around?
A date poll expires 30 days after its last date, at the latest one year after it was created; all other polls 90 days after they were created. 30 days after expiry, the poll is permanently deleted with all its data.
What’s an account for?
You don’t need one. With an account – signing in by email link, no password at all – you’ll find your polls again on any device under “My polls”, even without the admin link. Only your address, your last sign-in and the links to your polls are stored; after 12 months without signing in, the account is deleted.
How do I delete my account?
Under “My polls” with “Delete account …”. You decide whether your polls are deleted too or keep running without an account – then you manage them through their admin link again.

How do I change my answer or my entry?
Just open the link again on the same device: Polls recognises you, and you can change your answers, entries and name while the poll is open.
I’m on a different device – how do I get to my answer?
Polls recognises you by the device you took part on. On another device you count as a new person – unless you’re signed in with an account your participation is linked to: then Polls recognises you everywhere.
How do I remove my participation?
You delete your own entries, taken slots and comments yourself, and withdraw answers in a date poll one by one. Only the person who created the poll can remove your name completely. Once the poll is deleted, everything is gone.
Why does a date show a different time?
Dates are shown in the poll’s time zone. If you’re in a different time zone, Polls also shows your own local time. All-day dates are plain calendar days and never shift.
